turquoise

After surfing in the hot Noosa sun, we would seek refuge in fruit shops and supermarkets. Mango's were cheap and they were basically giving pineapple and rockmelon away. Good planning the night before saw us freezing almost a dozen water bottles in the freezer, with each one eventually succumbing to the heat and meeting it's fate as a life saver.

for kicks

Some photographs from the last few months, playing around with the ocean and a camera.

old tree

Driving home from the coast some weeks ago, with rain clouds looming above my destination.
An old tree stood solemnly on the edge of the field; dead & brittle.

A large white kite hovered off to the right, spying on it's next meal's movements below.

The image looks rather dreary, though the feel in the country air was anything but.

the end is nigh

I've been a busy bee of late, and truth be told quite the hermit. Not without reason though, as I'm 4 weeks from finishing my Graphic Design course.

I have learned a great deal, and am really looking forward to landing my first full-time Graphic Design job.

Below are some recent pieces I created.

salt

Dusk pastels. Onshore wind swell. Cold face and numb limbs.

Far from ideal conditions, I miss it dearly.

weekend warrior

It was a great weekend of waves on the Victorian Surfcoast. I haven't been in the water as much as I would have liked to, and really felt it physically. Though I managed to get some screamers on the longboard this morning at one of my favourite points, before I returned home for my final term of study.

Here are some photos from Sunday morning.

sea stoke - wayne roach - forever grom

The second issue of Sea Stoke is out. Take a peek at some of the features here.

A couple months back I worked on a story about the much loved Torquay character, Wayne Roach.
Have a read if you're interested here.

simon & kirsty's wedding

Simon & Kirsty tied the knot on a hot February day. The Split Point Lighthouse, Airey's Inlet, provided  a beautiful backdrop for an evening of dancing and celebration.

Wishing them all the best with continuing to create happy and healthy family lives together.

doobie & daves wedding

I was involved in photographing my friend's Doobie & Dave's wedding 3 weeks ago. It was a cracking day. The wedding was beautifully executed and loads of fun. Wishing them every success for the future.
